A 1959 Topps lot nearly tossed in a house cleanout holds a Bob Gibson rookie
A 1950s-60s baseball card collection was almost thrown away when a family cleaned out a house after the owner's husband passed. Just Collect bought the lot, which included 1959 Topps cards of Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax and Willie McCovey, Bob Gibson's rookie (#514), plus Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Stan Musial, Warren Spahn and Duke Snider. The cards had been stored loose in Ziploc bags. The dealer discloses only that the seller received 'several thousand dollars,' with no card-by-card breakdown.

A childhood collection in a plain white box turns up a 1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain rookie
A childhood collection assembled decades ago by a brother and sister, kept loose in a plain white box with no sleeves or top loaders, was bought by Just Collect. The centerpiece is a 1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain rookie, which the dealer notes has a back stain that lowers value but leaves it 'still very desirable.' The lot also carried a 1960 Topps Mickey Mantle and a Mantle All-Star card, plus Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente, Ernie Banks, Willie Mays, Reggie Jackson and a 1959 Topps Alex Karras rookie. No purchase price was disclosed.
