Every ShopTwits edition is compiled the same way. This page describes the full process, because a recommendation brief is only as good as its sourcing.

Where the signal comes from

Public, legal sources only: public subreddit activity (community threads in collector subreddits such as r/baseballcards, r/SportsCollectors, r/soccerjerseys), official release announcements from brands (Topps, Panini, kit manufacturers, club shops), public auction and sold-listing results (eBay, major auction houses, live-commerce platforms), trade press covering the hobby, and public search-trend data. We do not use paid social-listening data, private groups, or anything behind a login.

How stories are selected

Each section has an evidence bar. Mover of the Day requires evidence a community actually moved (a breakout thread, unusual velocity), not just news that might move it. Drop Radar requires a confirmed date or announcement from the brand or a credible trade source. Under the Radar requires genuine community validation in the thread, not one person's opinion. Live Heat requires a verifiable result on a public page or reported by a named outlet.

What we never do

We never invent prices, dates, or quotes. Headlines are as published or as the community titled them. Prices are stated only as the source states them. When something is unknown, we say so or leave it out. We report community signal; we never give buy, sell, or investment advice.

Corrections

Errors are corrected in the next edition with a note on what changed. The full edition archive stays public.
